About The Author

Nayo Barroso is a drama and romance writer who explores themes of philosophy, morality, and the breadth of human emotions. Inspired by her multicultural family and upbringing and her curiosity for life, Nayo hopes to blend her experiences together to tell thought-provoking stories for people all around the world.

Along the way, her biggest challenge was a drawer of unfinished manuscripts. She would constantly begin a story and get caught in the “perfection” loop. She now lives by the phrase: “It doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to exist.”

Her current project is a romance drama about a young girl who grows up in a Christian fundamentalist community, and after setting off to college, she becomes infatuated with her religion professor, Dr. Viera. Ellie undergoes a period of intellectual, religious, and sexual awakening, and struggles with her faith and identity, seeking to answer her lifelong question: Who is Elizebeth Miller?
